The towering Pyrenees stretch across south-western France and northern Spain, forming a spectacular mountain range between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. On the French side, you will find lush green valleys, rugged peaks and the wild landscapes of the Parc National des Pyrénées. The area is popular with hikers, fishermen and skiers, but it is also a fantastic destination for motorcyclists!
The French Pyrenees are often greener and cooler than you might expect from a mountain destination in southern Europe, and you may need a little luck with the weather. But when the sun comes out, the scenery is simply beautiful! Winding mountain roads, sweeping views and peaceful valleys make this a wonderful region to explore by motorcycle. So pack your riding gear, keep an eye on the forecast and get ready to discover the beauty of the French Pyrenees.
Lourdes is a convenient base for exploring the region. Best known for its famous pilgrimage site, the town also offers plenty of places to eat and drink after a day on the road. Its location makes it a great starting point for discovering the surrounding mountains and valleys.
